Is ShortMax free?

What is free on ShortMax

Both stores list ShortMax as a free download with in-app purchases, and both say it contains ads. Its terms say ShortMax may show commercial advertising, and that a subscription removes ads except “incentive ads” (the optional ones you watch for a reward). Neither the listing nor the terms say how many episodes of a series are free.

Coins and bonus

ShortMax’s terms describe two kinds of balance:

• Coins (“gold coins”), which you buy. The terms say they are used first when you watch.
• Bonus, used automatically when coins run out. The terms say bonus has an expiry date, shown in “My Wallet” in the app, and is cleared when it expires.
• Your balance can only be used in your own account and can’t be transferred, gifted or refunded unless the terms say otherwise.

What ShortMax costs

What a pass gives you

ShortMax’s terms list the subscription privileges as including free viewing, no ads (incentive ads excluded) and 1080p, usable in the app and on the website (not in its TikTok mini programs). They also say a subscription renews automatically 24 hours before it expires, and that cancelling takes effect after the last day of the period you paid for. Refunds are only considered when the paid product can’t be used because of ShortMax, and the terms note an EU right of withdrawal within 14 days.
