How to cancel ShortMax
To cancel ShortMax, cancel the subscription where you bought it: in iPhone Settings for the App Store, or in the Google Play Store app on Android. Deleting the app does not cancel it. Do it at least a day before the renewal date, because ShortMax’s terms say a subscription renews automatically 24 hours before it expires.

Cancel ShortMax step by step
ShortMax’s terms say the specific way to cancel is in the “About Subscription” section of the app, and that a subscription bought through a third party renews unless you cancel before the current period ends. For Apple and Google purchases that means:
On iPhone or iPad (App Store)
Apple’s help page gives these steps for any subscription bought through the App Store:
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap your name.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Tap ShortMax.
- Tap Cancel Subscription. If there is no Cancel button, the subscription is already cancelled and will not renew.
On Android (Google Play)
Google Play Help gives these steps; uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Open the Google Play Store app.
- Tap your profile picture, then Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
- Choose ShortMax.
- Tap Cancel subscription and follow the instructions.

When to cancel
- At least 24 hours before your renewal date: the terms say the pass renews automatically 24 hours before it expires.
- After you cancel, the terms say the cancellation takes effect the day after the last day of the period you paid for, so you keep the pass until then.
- ShortMax sells the Weekly Pass Pro at $9.99 and $19.99 on the US App Store, so on a weekly plan the renewal date comes round every 7 days.
Can you get a refund from ShortMax?
ShortMax’s terms say refunds are not given unless the paid product or service can’t be used for a reason on ShortMax’s side; if that applies, contact ShortMax with the payment details, the reason and proof. The terms also mention an EU right of withdrawal within 14 days of buying a subscription. For App Store or Google Play purchases you can also ask Apple or Google directly.
