The story of I See Countdowns: I Chose Time Mage Over Fire Crush

Sera Vance attends a prestigious magic academy where she can see countdown numbers floating above people's heads, showing how many more times she will meet them. Her childhood friend and fiery-haired crush, Caleb Hart, is a talented fire mage whose countdown is rapidly decreasing. When Sera agrees to connect Caleb with his roommate, Caleb's countdown drops alarmingly to nine, signaling an impending change. Caleb grows distant and defensive, especially when Sera questions his relationship with Tessa Blake.
