A micro drama is a complete scripted drama series told in very short episodes, usually one to two minutes each, filmed for a phone. Each episode ends on a cliffhanger, so the story pulls you straight into the next one. You will also see them called short dramas, vertical dramas, mini dramas or, by their Chinese name, duanju.
