Too Late, Don Luca

The story of Too Late, Don Luca

Arya is heavily pregnant and only days from her due date when she discovers her husband, Luca, plans to marry Bianca Voss, who is also expecting a child. Arya realizes that Luca, the heir apparent of the Mereddy mafia family, treated their relationship as a game and intends to make Bianca his public wife. Despite his promises of doctors, guards, money, and a guarded house outside Chicago, Luca demands Arya remain hidden and never appear before Bianca.

As their home is set on fire and destroyed, Arya is moved to a North River safe house guarded by men who control access with Luca's palmprint. Luca insists that no loose ends remain before his wedding to Bianca and plans to give their child the Mereddy family name only when the time is right. Meanwhile, Luca prepares to bestow the prestigious Castelano star, a symbol meant only for the true mafia daughter, on Bianca instead of Arya.

Arya, the only daughter of the chairman of the High Mafia Commission, faces isolation and betrayal but holds on to hope of reclaiming her place and protecting her child in a ruthless mafia world where loyalty is fleeting and power is paramount.
