The Poisoned Years

The story of The Poisoned Years

Harper mourns at the grave of her six-year-old son, Noah, overwhelmed by grief and confusion. Her husband Ryker, the Alpha, comforts her outwardly but secretly reveals to his assistant that he allowed Noah to die to protect his illegitimate son Damien and his mistress Marin. Harper's world shatters as she realizes Ryker's betrayal and the years of deception he has hidden.

Determined to sever their bond, Harper confronts Ryker, rejecting their marriage and exposing his cold indifference to Noah's death. Ryker tries to placate her with promises of another pup, but Harper discovers more betrayals: Ryker's affair with Mark and that he has been poisoning her with moonshade to keep her silent. Desperate, Harper reaches out to her father for an antidote. As her father pledges to protect her and deliver the cure, Ryker returns with Damien, the boy identical to Noah, asking Harper to accept him as their new son. Harper faces the painful reality of Ryker's treachery and the poisoned years she must now reckon with.
