In the story: Isabella has waited her whole life for her wedding day. She tells Isabella she is not upset at all, that she is actually happy, and that she plans to make Daniel happy in a way Isabella never could.

Daniel

Who they are: Her groom, who leaves the wedding for another woman.

In the story: Walking down the aisle on Daniel's arm, surrounded by everyone who loves them, she believes her dream of eternal love is finally coming true. But Daniel's arm feels cold, and before the vows are spoken he tells her that Victoria is upset and needs him.

Who they are: The woman Daniel has put first for five years.
