Marek Vale, once the realm's most talented blade wielder, faces a devastating betrayal during the sacred First Blade Trial when his bonded blade spirit, Moro, unexpectedly stabs him to protect another contender named Sorry. Despite decades of loyalty and shared victories, Moro's sudden switch leaves Marek wounded and humiliated, challenging the belief that a blade with a soul is always loyal to its wielder. His rival, Soren, intervenes, pleading for Marek to stop harming Moro and offering the title of First Blade to end the conflict. Yet Marek's resolve remains unbroken; he confronts Soren in a fierce battle fueled by arcane power, determined to prove his worth despite his injury and the betrayal he endures.
