Not Your Average Crow

The story of Not Your Average Crow

Emily is a young girl who believes she is a crow mistakenly raised among phoenixes. Taken in by Queen Angelina, who treats her as her daughter, Emily struggles to fit in with the other phoenix children. Despite her efforts, she cannot breathe fire, fly properly, or awaken her divine fire like the others. Her differences make her the subject of suspicion and ridicule within the phoenix clan.

As Emily tries to survive, her true identity is gradually uncovered by others, including her uncle and fellow phoenixes, who openly question her place in the sacred mountain. Angelina fiercely defends Emily as her daughter, but tensions rise as the clan prepares for the young phoenix trial and the ancestor ceremony. At the ceremony, Emily faces the Magic Mirror, a test that reveals one's bloodline, which terrifies her because she fears it will expose her as a crow. Determined to escape before the trial, Emily plans another attempt to flee, knowing that once the truth is revealed, she may lose her chance at freedom.
