The Last Life Ring

The story of The Last Life Ring

Leah Morgan has spent over 20 years searching for her biological family, the Harrisons, only to be treated as if she doesn't exist. After a shipwreck off Alaska, her brother Ryan risks his life to push her toward the last life ring, sacrificing himself in the process. Despite saving her, the Harrisons express regret for ever bringing Leah into their family, blaming her for the loss of their other daughter, Chloe. Overwhelmed by their rejection, Leah allows herself to be swallowed by the freezing water.

Leah then awakens in a review room where she is offered a chance to join Project Aurora, a commitment that could isolate her from the outside world for years. This time, when the Harrisons find her early and warn her not to return to their family, offering her money to stay away, Leah refuses their offer and asserts her identity as Leah Morgan, not Leah Harrison. She chooses to live a life independent of the family that rejected her, determined to claim the life that was meant for her. Meanwhile, she uncovers the painful truth that the Harrisons already had another daughter, Chloe, whose loss has shaped their cold rejection of Leah.
