Level One Loser, Max Level Lover

The story of Level One Loser, Max Level Lover

Cole Moore is the kind of guy everyone laughs at. He loves fantasy dating games, and the people around him call him a loser who will never have a chance with a real woman. When someone breaks the game console his father gave him, he cannot even afford to fix it.

Then a strange voice welcomes him to the Steelbound Realm. He is level one and must choose an ability: teleportation, lockpicking or knitting. A slip of the tongue locks in knitting. Moments later, a monstrous beast knocks him flat, and he wakes to find a group of stunning adventurers staring down at him, wondering whether he is mute.

Surviving the tutorial unlocks a bonus ability, telepathy, so Cole can hear what Kessa, Ivy and Willow really think of him. A glowing system also reveals an affection meter. Every twenty-five points with a companion unlocks one of her skills, and at one hundred, her heart is bound to his forever. Still grieving their fallen friend Elric, the women invite him to fight beside them.

Trouble arrives on a dragon. A spoiled lord's son, the self-proclaimed greatest dragon rider in the realm, mocks Cole as a nobody with no rank, no name and no money and tries to lure the women away. Cole stands up to him anyway, and his courage pays off as the meter climbs for all three. When a goblin runs off with Ivy's belongings, a side quest appears, and with it a chance to win her heart.
