99 Flights

The story of 99 Flights

Sarah has been in a long-distance relationship with her professor husband, Arthur, for five years, spending three of those years apart and flying to Chicago 99 times to support him. Despite her sacrifices—helping with his research presentations, literature reviews, and family events—Arthur seems to take her efforts for granted. At the university's anniversary gala, Sarah catches Arthur with his female student, Chloe, who is wearing a custom-made shirt Sarah had bought for Arthur. This discovery shatters her trust and marks the beginning of her reclaiming her life.

At the gala, Chloe accidentally spills coffee on Sarah's manuscript, but Sarah remains composed, showing she has prepared for setbacks. Chloe openly admires Sarah and speaks of Arthur's attentiveness to her, which unsettles Sarah further. Chloe's inappropriate attire and familiarity with Arthur at the formal event raise eyebrows, while Sarah quietly confronts Chloe about the expensive perfume and the financial aid Chloe receives. By the end of the events, Sarah is determined to take back control of her life and confront the betrayal she faces.
