The story of They Say I Stole My Brother's Underwear

Maya Reyes is a student at an elite prep school where she is mocked as basketball star Ethan Carter's most desperate admirer. Unknown to their classmates, Ethan is actually Maya's brother, a secret they both keep to protect Ethan's image. Their parents divorced and later reunited, but Maya kept her mother's last name Reyes while Ethan took their father's last name Carter. Maya endures bullying from the queen bee Sienna Vale, who humiliates her by threatening to post a photo suggesting Maya stole Ethan's underwear, which is actually from her own home.

To help Ethan in a basketball tournament with a $40,000 prize, Maya makes a written contract to assist him in exchange for 30% of his winnings, witnessed and signed by their mother. Despite the tension and public humiliation, Maya plans to claim her share. However, after another incident where Sienna frames Maya, Maya decides to end her support for Ethan by stopping to provide his meals and notifying their mother, who approves without Ethan's knowledge.
