The Hockey Star's Secret Boyfriend

The story of The Hockey Star's Secret Boyfriend

A shy student has admired Adrian, the lead singer of an indie band, for two years but has never confessed. One night, intending to slip a love letter into Adrian's jacket pocket, the student mistakenly places it into the jacket of Rhett, the school's star hockey captain. Rhett finds the letter and, to protect the student from embarrassment and teasing, publicly claims he likes the student too, drawing attention from the whole school, including Rhett's glamorous ex, Ruthie.

To manage the situation, Rhett suggests they pretend to be dating, shielding the student from humiliation and curiosity. Although hesitant, the student agrees, hoping the fake relationship might eventually help them get closer to Adrian. By the next day, Adrian approaches the student, showing interest beyond the misunderstanding. Rhett and the student then agree on clear boundaries for their fake dating, deciding to keep it platonic until the student is ready to confess to Adrian.
