Arthur, a construction executive, is suddenly transported to a world ruled by dragons where humans are slaves. Confused and desperate, he tries to understand this new reality and avoid danger in the Dragon Court. His sarcastic inner thoughts, which he believes are private, are unexpectedly audible to Dragon Queen Evelyn, who is intrigued by him.

Despite his efforts to escape, Arthur is summoned by the Queen and brought into her court, where he learns that his thoughts can be heard by others, including the Queen herself. As the Queen navigates her own challenges, she chooses to keep Arthur close, appointing him as court recorder rather than sending him away like the other decorated slaves. Arthur is wary of the Queen’s intentions and the risks of staying near such a powerful and unpredictable figure. Arthur reluctantly accepts his new role, determined to uncover the secrets behind the Queen’s unusual interest in him and find a way to survive in this dangerous world.
