Mommy, I'm Not Lying

The story of Mommy, I'm Not Lying

Chloe and her twin sister Lilith grow up under the strict supervision of their mother, who relies heavily on a smart honesty band to judge their truthfulness. The band glows green when telling the truth and red when lying. From birth, Chloe's band always flashes red, leading her mother to believe she is dishonest and deserving of harsh punishments, while Lilith's band is always green, earning her favoritism and trust. Despite Chloe's repeated pleas and evident suffering, her mother dismisses her pain as lies, enforcing strict discipline and isolation.

On New Year's Eve, Chloe experiences severe stomach pain but is ignored due to the red light on her band. After collapsing and eventually dying, Chloe's spirit lingers, witnessing her family celebrate without her and continue to believe the band over her reality. Her sister Lilith even taunts her ghost with the green light on her own band, reinforcing the tragic divide. The story reveals the devastating consequences of blind trust in technology over human empathy, as Chloe's truth is ignored until it is too late.
