From Barren Wife to Mafia Queen

The story of From Barren Wife to Mafia Queen

In Upper East Side high society, Elena is the Voss daughter who has never had a child. After seven years married to Julian Sterling, she is humiliated by the elder Mrs. Sterling, blamed by her father, and forced out of the Sterling family. Soon after, she is sent to Damien Kessler, a feared man said to make his money in the underworld.

At Damien’s estate, there is no wedding celebration and little warmth. He gives Elena a card, tells her he has two children, Leo and Mia, and asks her to treat them as her own. Elena carries years of pain from being mocked, pressured, and dismissed because she could not have a baby, so she keeps her distance from the children and hides away in her room.

Months pass in a cold routine with Damien, until Elena’s period is suddenly late. Past disappointments keep her from calling a doctor or sharing her hope. Then the nanny rushes in with news that the young master has hurt a classmate at school, and with Damien abroad on business, Elena is pulled into the children’s lives whether she is ready or not.
