Buried the Night War God

The story of Buried the Night War God

Tariq works as a despised laborer in the Falcon camp, located in the harsh desert territory called the Sand Sea Free Zone. He and his mother, Amunet, endure public humiliation and harsh treatment from the camp's authorities. Tariq is forced to carry a heavy coffin-like burden linked to ancient secrets, despite his youth and the camp's disdain for him. His inability to read the ancient language and the destruction of precious water supplies further isolate him from the other workers, who threaten severe punishment for wasting water.

The camp enforces brutal rules, including cutting off limbs as punishment. Tariq faces the threat of losing his hand after conflicts with other workers and guards. However, Lieutenant Samara intervenes, not out of kindness but because Tariq is needed as living bait to clear deadly traps in a thousand-year-old tomb. Surviving this dangerous trial, known as the Antitainbury trial, is the only way for Tariq to prove his worth and earn the right to drink water in the camp. At the end, Tariq prepares to face this perilous challenge, with the hope that his father Zayd's mysterious story might change their fortunes.
