The Love I Couldn't Hear

The story of The Love I Couldn't Hear

Leah, after five difficult years of working various jobs, finally pays off her debts and receives a cochlear implant that restores her hearing. However, her joy is short-lived when she discovers that Sebastian, the man she loves and who has been her support, is secretly engaged to another woman named Charlotte. Despite Sebastian's attempts to downplay the situation as a game punishment, Leah realizes his affection was never genuine and decides to leave him, determined to reclaim her dignity and independence.

Following the breakup, Leah struggles financially but remains resolute. She takes a part-time waitress job while reflecting on her painful past, including the loss of her parents and the moment she lost her hearing. Sebastian had once promised to be her ears and protect her from harm, but now he only brings her humiliation. When they unexpectedly cross paths at her workplace, Sebastian’s coldness and the hostility from his friends remind Leah of the toxic environment she is escaping. Leah is ready to start a new life on her own terms, no longer willing to be silenced or controlled.
