I Mistook His Countdown for Love

Claire can see numbers floating above the heads of her two childhood friends, Daniel and Alex. She believes these numbers show how much they love her. Daniel's number is infinity, so Claire is sure his devotion has no limit and clings to the hope they will be together despite his distant behavior.

Daniel mocks her feelings and denies liking her, making it clear he does not reciprocate her love. Confused and heartbroken, Claire turns to an anonymous online forum for help to understand the meaning of the numbers.
