I Fell for the Boxer in My Dreams

The story of I Fell for the Boxer in My Dreams

Jola Reyes has a rare gift: she can enter other people's dreams. She tries to visit the dreams of Kale Mitchell, the most popular guy on campus, but instead repeatedly finds herself in the dreams of Hector Wheels, the university boxing champion. In Hector's dreams, he shows a strong desire to meet Jola in real life, which surprises and unsettles her.

Jola's life changes when her mentor, Professor Hart, offers her a summer internship as a part-time team medic for the university boxing team, which includes Hector. This forces her to face the possibility of meeting him in reality. In her dreams, she tends to Hector's injuries and learns about athlete care. She notices his many scars from matches and realizes he might not mind them as much as she thought. As she spends more time with him in dreams, Hector becomes more cooperative and attentive.

Despite these growing connections, Jola struggles with insecurities about her real self compared to her dream self. She worries about how Hector might react if he recognizes her and fears the complications their meeting could bring. The story follows Jola as she navigates the blurred lines between dreams and reality and the challenges of her unique gift.
