Crown of Hidden Scales

The story of Crown of Hidden Scales

Evelyn Vance, the rightful and only heir of the Duke, is born with the strongest talent in the realm but is denied her inheritance because she is a woman. To avoid an arranged marriage and claim a lordship of her own, she disguises herself as a young man named Evan and enrolls at Saint Aurelian Academy, a brutal all-male Dragonborn school known as the cradle of lords. Evelyn uses a special mask to hide her female scent, but if she loses control or meets her fated mate, the disguise will fail.

At the academy, Evelyn quickly encounters Cassius Blackwood, known as The First Scale, the strongest Dragonborn in history and a figure of authority. Cassius notices something unusual about Evan’s aura and scent, growing suspicious of Evelyn’s true identity. Despite the dangers, Evelyn remains determined to prove herself and secure her own territory and right to rule. As Cassius’s suspicions deepen, Evelyn struggles to keep her secret while navigating the challenges of the academy and avoiding the fate her father has planned for her.
