Clovers Luck

The story of Clovers Luck

Clover has lived a life of hardship, working tirelessly at a berry processing plant and struggling to make ends meet. She envies her roommate Vesper, who enjoys a privileged life supported by a wealthy godmother. One day, Clover discovers a shocking truth: her own parents are wealthy and have been hiding this from her. She secretly observes her parents dressed elegantly and realizes the woman she thought was just her mother is the same godmother who supports Vesper.

Listening from the shadows, Clover overhears her parents discussing their reasons for keeping her in the dark. They feared that revealing the truth would harm Vesper, who has already suffered loss and is fragile. They also mention a mystic's prediction that Clover is destined for too much luck, which they believe could overshadow Vesper. Despite the pain of betrayal, Clover learns her mother has been secretly sending her small amounts of money to keep her afloat while maintaining the illusion of poverty. Clover is torn between love and resentment, struggling with the guilt and deception that have shaped her life.
