Bears Don't Dance. She Does

The story of Bears Don't Dance. She Does

Elodie Hart, a bear shifter, has always been underestimated by her close-knit group of friends, who doubt a bear shifter could ever be the star of the stage. At their high school graduation party, a game reveals that while the three boys and her best friend Vesper, a cat shifter, care for her, they do not see her as a true equal or future star. Despite their reassurances, Elodie secretly plans to leave her small town and attend the Royal Dance Academy 1700 miles away, determined to prove them wrong.

After receiving her acceptance to the prestigious academy, Elodie feels increasingly isolated as her friends unintentionally exclude her from important celebrations like her 18th birthday and the graduation trip. When she confronts them about the trip, tensions rise as they struggle to accommodate her, revealing underlying fractures in their relationships. Elodie firmly decides not to join the trip, signaling her break from the past and her commitment to forging her own path as a lead dancer. The story follows her journey to claim the stage and the applause she has long been denied.
