The story of Why Have Slimes When You Can Have Dragons

Julian Ashford, once cast aside by his adoptive Ashford family and stripped of his tamer talent, now runs a small beast shop. Despite being dismissed as talentless and a fraud, Julian secretly awakens a powerful new Dark-type tamer talent through a mysterious system he gains on his 18th birthday. This talent allows him to sell mutant beasts with infinite growth potential, such as a slime with devour abilities and a necromantic skeleton that can evolve endlessly.

Facing scorn from his ex-girlfriend Stella Maro and the Ashford family, who seek to use his talent for their own gain, Julian begins to reclaim his place and power. He aims to repay the humiliation he suffered and restore the Ashford name as true Dragon Tamers. Julian has proven the legitimacy of his beasts to skeptical buyers and is starting to attract attention from experts, setting the stage for his rise in the tamer world.
