When They Called Me a Gold‑Digger

The story of When They Called Me a Gold‑Digger

Summer, a woman from a humble background, faces constant suspicion and cruel tests from the wealthy social circle around her, who believe she is only after their money. Her boyfriend Nathan's female best friend, Olivia, openly accuses Summer of being a gold digger, humiliating her by claiming a necklace Nathan gave her was actually his gift to Olivia. After breaking up with Nathan, Summer is pursued by Simon Hayes, a member of the same wealthy circle, and accepts his proposal. However, on the night before their planned marriage, Summer discovers that the engagement and many romantic gestures were orchestrated by Nathan and Simon as part of a scheme to test her intentions.

Despite the betrayals and manipulations, Summer refuses to continue playing by their rules. Simon offers her a prenuptial agreement that strictly protects his assets from her, revealing his distrust. Summer, tired of proving her worth and rejecting their judgments, decides to take control of her own future. She boldly accepts a career opportunity, signaling her determination to define her life on her own terms rather than through the lens of the wealthy elite's suspicions.
