The Underdog

The story of The Underdog

In the year 2060, Axel Miller is a mixed-blood teenager living under the oppressive rule of the mutant-dominated Miller family. Despite being mocked and treated as weak by his half-brother Cody Miller and other family members, Axel struggles alongside his human mother to survive in a harsh world where mutants hold all the power. The Miller family openly despises Axel and his mother, viewing them as inferior and unworthy of their status.

Axel's situation worsens when he defends his mother against insults, leading to a brutal punishment ordered by the family patriarch, Victor Miller. Cody initially demands that Axel be severely punished by having his hands cut off but is persuaded by Uncle Arthur to delay the punishment until after an important family trial called the ascendancy. Cody warns Axel that failure at the trial will still result in losing his hands. Meanwhile, Axel remains unaware that his own superhuman abilities have begun to awaken, setting the stage for a dramatic reversal of power. The story follows Axel's journey as he prepares for the trial that could change his fate and challenge the dominance of the Miller family.
