The Girlfriend He Tested for Seven Years

The story of The Girlfriend He Tested for Seven Years

Claire has been in a seven-year relationship with Ethan, who recently revealed he is heir to a wealthy Manhattan investment banking dynasty. Shortly after, Claire discovers a secret group chat where Ethan, his younger brother Liam, his best friend Derek, and childhood friend Vivian have been monitoring and judging her every move to determine if she is a gold digger. The chat logs reveal they have tracked her spending and behavior since the day before they started dating.

Feeling betrayed and heartbroken, Claire confronts Ethan, who dismisses the chat as a joke and insists she accept a $5,000 transfer after she asks for help with a hospital bill. Despite Ethan’s caring gestures early in their relationship, Claire realizes they were tests of her loyalty and obedience, orchestrated for the amusement of Ethan and his friends. When she refuses to continue playing along, Ethan demands she repay every penny she has spent during their relationship, itemizing her expenses down to the last detail. Vivian supports Ethan’s accusations, while Claire, overwhelmed by the betrayal, decides to end the relationship.

The story follows Claire as she faces the painful truth that her years with Ethan were a calculated experiment, and she must now decide how to reclaim her life from this deception.
