The Alpha King Wants Me Back

The story of The Alpha King Wants Me Back

Two sisters, Cassia and Valerie, face arranged marriages to powerful men from rival families. Cassia is to marry Kazbian Stormcrest, the ruthless Alpha King of Vethirland, while Valerie is to marry Magnus Aschwood. Valerie refuses to marry Kazbian, whom she calls a monster, and offers to swap places with Cassia for a large sum of money, exposing tensions over lineage and status within their family.

Five years earlier, after Valerie's mother died, her father brought home a mistress and an illegitimate daughter, leaving Valerie feeling abandoned and unloved. Valerie becomes Kazbian's secret lover, but he treats her coldly and makes her wear a mask during their encounters to remind him of Cassia, the woman he truly loves. Though Valerie is made Luna of Vethirland, Kazbian keeps her at a distance to protect Cassia from enemies. He plans to marry Cassia once he secures his rule, making Valerie a stand-in.

Valerie confronts the painful truth that she is merely a substitute in Kazbian's life. Betrayed and used, she quietly rebuilds her strength, and her hidden secret could threaten the Alpha King's throne.
