Rich Sister Paid a Dollar for My Funeral

The story of Rich Sister Paid a Dollar for My Funeral

The story begins with a deep family rift between Zoey and her brother, caused by a betrayal involving Andrew, a struggling student Zoey once sponsored. Andrew accuses Zoey's brother of stealing his university admission spot, leading Zoey to sever all contact with him three years ago. When the brother is diagnosed with lung cancer and reaches out for help, Zoey responds coldly by sending a single dollar and a harsh message to let her know when he is actually dead. This insult ironically allows him to withdraw funds from a fundraiser, setting the stage for a tense confrontation.

As the story unfolds, it becomes clear that Andrew manipulated the situation to pit Zoey against her brother, seeking to claim the university spot for himself and gain Zoey's favor. Zoey's brother reflects on how Andrew's calculated accusations destroyed his education and livelihood, as Zoey sided with Andrew without seeking his side of the story. Zoey has completely cut him off, ending his college life and leaving him isolated. The premise centers on the painful consequences of family secrets and betrayals, with the brother determined to face his fate on his own terms.
