No Longer Second Choice

The story of No Longer Second Choice

Nora Whitfield has lived her life overshadowed by her sister Victoria, the favored daughter destined to carry the Whitfield name. When Adam Sterling, heir to the Sterling fortune, chooses jewelry for their wedding, he buys two necklaces: a ruby necklace from a London auction and a plain silver chain. Victoria refuses to become Mrs. Sterling, so Adam turns to Nora, the other Whitfield daughter. For years, Nora has accepted being second choice, the shadow of Victoria, until she finally asserts herself and asks to choose first.

Adam's patronizing affection and Victoria's insistence on superiority reveal the deep-rooted favoritism shaping Nora's life. Adam dismisses Nora's feelings, calling her quiet and unassuming, while Victoria pushes the ruby necklace toward Nora, insisting she take the lesser gift. When Nora rejects this, Adam threatens to end their relationship and move out of their penthouse. Despite their attempts to placate her, Nora is determined to no longer accept being second choice and demands respect.

The story follows Nora's journey as she challenges the expectations that have confined her and stands up against the people who have taken her for granted.
