My Online Boyfriend Wasn't Who I Thought

The story of My Online Boyfriend Wasn't Who I Thought

Nia Everly, a bear shifter who has struggled with her self-image due to her size and past insecurities, believes she has found love online with J.S. Whitlock, a fox shifter from a wealthy family. Their relationship began in a gaming community where Nia presented herself differently to connect with J.S. Before their planned meeting, Nia discovers a post where J.S. publicly offers to give away his online girlfriend after learning about her true appearance and weight, which he found unacceptable.

Nia's friend Mia finds private chat messages where J.S. admits he ended things because he cares about looks and found someone else, a rabbit shifter named Ellity, who fits his ideal image. Despite the betrayal, Nia reflects on her past struggles with body image and the harsh treatment she faced from others. Encouraged by Mia, Nia considers revealing her true self to J.S. and their social circle, confronting the superficiality and cruelty of her former boyfriend.

The story follows Nia's journey of self-acceptance and standing up against rejection based on appearance.
