Kiss the Princess Rule the Empire

The story of Kiss the Princess Rule the Empire

Ethan and Olivia have been together since high school, and they have a deal. Ethan builds her social media following and helps her get into Kappa Theta Sigma, her dream sorority, and then they get engaged. But on the night he arrives with a ring, Olivia dumps him for Sebastian, a fraternity golden boy, mocking Ethan for having no family money, no trust fund and not even a decent car.

Heartbroken, Ethan suddenly finds himself face to face with Isabella, Kappa Theta's president, the girl every guy on campus wants. No one at Westbridge knows she is secretly a princess of Montevera, hiding from a political marriage back home. When her father's men arrive, she claims Ethan as her fiancé. She offers him a deal: play the part for one year, then they go their separate ways. Ethan agrees. They exchange tokens, her family heirloom for his, though he keeps the pendant that is his only clue to his real parents, and she announces that he is moving in with her.

When Ethan goes back to collect what is his, Olivia insists she never needed him and that he will come crawling back. Meanwhile, Isabella thanks Mrs. Kennedy, the woman who helped her escape Montevera and build a new identity. Mrs. Kennedy lost her son twenty years ago, and the only clue she has is a one-of-a-kind pendant she had made for his first birthday, exactly like the one Ethan wears.
