Hunting the Cowboy

The story of Hunting the Cowboy

Evan Brooks, a wealthy young man from Chicago, faces a harsh ultimatum from his father after coming out as gay: he must win the Wyoming state rodeo championship or lose all financial support. Forced to leave his city life behind, Evan is sent to a rural rodeo team where he initially despises the country lifestyle and resents his father's decision. His rebellious attitude and discomfort with the environment create immediate tension.

At the rodeo, Evan meets Cole, the hot-tempered and deeply closeted captain of the team who relies on Evan's father's sponsorship to keep the team afloat. Despite their clashes and mutual distrust, they are forced to train and live together. Cole is wary of Evan but also protective of the team’s future. Evan begins to accept his new reality and commits to training, determined to reclaim his money and perhaps find unexpected connection with Cole. The story follows Evan’s journey from resistance to acceptance under the pressure of his father’s ultimatum and the challenges of rodeo life.
