His Secret Backer

The story of His Secret Backer

Lola Olsen, a former capo of the Narse Mafia family, is preparing to marry Harrison Tucker, a customs clerk soon to be promoted to supervisor. Despite their five-year relationship, Harrison quietly gives their family's first-class plane seats to his friend Mandy Shaw and her parents, sending them on a slower ship trip to Meridianna instead. None of Lola's family objects to this decision, leaving her uncertain about Harrison's priorities. Curious about how Harrison will manage the trip without her, Lola cancels all the wedding arrangements she paid for.

As the wedding approaches, tensions rise. Harrison insists Mandy's family deserves a comfortable journey and books them on the most luxurious cruise ship, despite the longer travel time. Lola worries about the impact on the wedding schedule and her aging parents' comfort. Harrison suggests changing the wedding date to accommodate the delay, but his dissatisfaction is clear. Lola is left questioning Harrison's intentions and the future of their wedding plans.
