Bestie That's My Fiance

The story of Bestie That's My Fiance

Nora and her best friend Tessa have an unusual arrangement: to help Nora avoid working late, Tessa borrows Nora's fiancé, Evan Mercer, as her pretend boyfriend. This begins with simple cover stories about curfews but quickly escalates to public displays of affection and family gatherings. Nora struggles with the deception, especially as Evan becomes more involved with Tessa, attending events and meeting Tessa's relatives while Nora feels increasingly sidelined.

The tension grows when Nora discovers that Evan and Tessa have been preparing for this act for weeks, including ordering matching rings, pajamas, slippers, and gifts delivered to Tessa's home. Tessa and Evan's act has become so convincing that even their families are involved, with Evan's mother giving Tessa a vintage pearl necklace as a welcome gift. Nora watches helplessly as the lines between pretense and reality blur, feeling betrayed and unsure of her place. Meanwhile, Evan plans to meet Nora after finishing with Tessa's relatives, indicating the complexity of their intertwined relationships.
