The story of Abandoned Son’s Apocalypse

The dead have overrun the world, and a wealthy family survives behind the high walls of the VOS stronghold. Their real son risks his life in the zombie-filled streets to bring back supplies, but his adopted brother, Ethan, has a different plan. Ethan ambushes him, demands the supplies and, the moment their parents and sisters arrive, cries out that he is the one being attacked.

The family believes Ethan. They praise him as the only one who brings supplies home safely and call their own son a disappointment who comes back empty-handed. When a zombie horde appears, the son points out that it came from the direction Ethan just returned from, but no one listens. Ethan bravely offers to lure the horde away, knowing his parents will never allow it. Instead, they order their battered son outside, threatening to lock him out and let the zombies eat him if he refuses.

Against the odds, he survives the horde, only to find Ethan waiting for him. Ethan finally drops the act, calling him a stray dog and admitting he faked everything to make the family hate him, because everything in that family belongs to Ethan. Sure no one will believe the truth, Ethan finishes him off.

Then the son opens his eyes eight years in the past, on the day he was once framed and thrown out. This time, he stands in the family's top secret control room, and it has just been handed to him.
